The Role of a Field Service Engineer:
As a field service engineer you would be given a defined geographical area although at times you may need to travel further afield in order to meet the customer requirements. You would be installing, commissioning and servicing the array of specialised equipment at a variety of clients sites visiting anywhere from hospitals, to data centres and leading banks.
Key Skills:
You will need to be multi-skilled for this position with an Electrical/Electronic bias. You will need to possess an Electrical/Electronic qualification (City & Guilds or above) and have had experience within an industrial environment. If you have worked on, or have an understanding of UPS systems, this would be highly advantageous for the role. Flexibility is of the essence as you may need to travel throughout the UK as well as good customer service skills as you would be representing this highly prestigious company.
