Reporting to the UK CEO the purpose of the Finance & Operations Director is to lead, direct and drive the Finance, IT and Logistics functions to achieve Company objectives and goals, in line with the vision and strategic needs of Miele GB. In doing so, to support organisational growth and key strategic initiatives, enabling Miele GB to build upon its reputation of excellence, and expand and capitalise on market share.
This highly commercial and broad role will take responsibility for:- Delivering strategic and financial management, thus making a significant contribution to the overall success of the Company.
- Contributing significantly to the overall general management of the company and its policies and goals together with the other Directors and UK CEO.
- To identify and where appropriate implement ways of improving Miele's business, to ensure appropriate practice and enable more effective business performance.
- To build highly developed and motivated teams, where potential is identified and optimised and talent harnessed.
- To communicate effectively to all appropriate personnel within the company regarding Finance policies, objectives and performance.
Skills Required:
- Professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Demonstrable track record of success gained in a highly commercial business
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Excellent leadership skills
- Experience of managing cross functional teams
- Highly adaptable
- Commercially astute
- Able not only to drive change but see that change through to completion
- Not afraid to drill down into detail if required
- Ideally previous background from FMCG.
