Our Client require an experienced Financial Controller / Director who has excellent business acumen together with the ability and enthusiasm to play a key role within the management team. The successful individual will need to be flexible with working hours and be able to commit to longer hours when required.
The responsibilities of the Financial Controller / Director will include:
1. Preparation and maintenance of the statutory accounts, balance sheets, cash flow, reconciliations, fixed assets, management reports etc.
2. Leading the regular review and development of complex financial and account reporting requirements, including preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
3. Provision and analysis of financial and management data needed for commercial and budgetary planning.
4. Design and implementation of financial controls and processes together with the recommendation of improvements to these processes on an on-going basis as business demands require.
5. Work closely with external accountants to complete year end accounts and corporation tax and liaise with auditors during audits.
6. Support to the business directors in operational and strategic decisions providing a business overview of accurate cost and budget information for all business activities
7. Analytical review of cost implications of all aspects of the business and the authority and capability to heighten cost awareness throughout the business areas.

Person Specification:
The successful candidate will be/have:
? CIMA Qualified with a proven operational background
? Strong technical and management accounting knowledge
? Commercial acumen and strategic approach to the business
? Advanced Excel skills together with Accounting package knowledge, ideally Tasbooks
? Adaptable and able to learn quickly
? Meticulous attention to detail and a practical approach to problem solving
? Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate with non-finance managers as effectively as with external accountants, other suppliers and stakeholders.
? Ability to work under pressure & meet targets & deadlines
? Ability to integrate well into a team environment.
? Motivational, persuasive and influential people management skills
