Our client requires an experienced Financial Controller who has excellent character, ability and enthusiasm to play a key role within the management team. The successful individual will need to be flexible with working hours and be able to provide the level of commitment that the seniority of this position requires.
The responsibilities of the Financial Director will include:
1.Preparation and supervision of the primary accounting records, all control and reconciliation accounts, management accounts and reports. Together with cash flow, fixed assets register and year end accounts for auditors.
2.Leading the regular review and development of complex financial and account reporting requirements and provision of financial advice and guidance.
3.Provision and analysis of financial and management data needed for commercial and budgetary planning.
4.Design and implementation of financial controls and processes together with the recommendation of improvements to these processes on an on-going basis as business demands require.
5.Work closely with external accountants to complete year end accounts and corporation tax and liaise with auditors during audits.
6.Support to the business directors in operational and strategic decisions providing a business overview of accurate cost and budget information for all business activities
7.Analytical review of cost implications of all aspects of the business and the authority and capability to heighten cost awareness throughout the business areas.

Person Specification:
The successful candidate will be/have:
vCIMA Qualified with a proven operational background
vStrong technical and management accounting knowledge
vCommercial acumen and strategic approach to the business
vAdvanced Excel skills together with Accounting package knowledge, ideally Tasbooks
vAdaptable and able to learn quickly
vMeticulous attention to detail and a practical approach to problem solving
vExcellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate with non-finance managers as effectively as with external accountants, other suppliers and stakeholders.
vAbility to work under pressure & meet targets & deadlines
vAbility to integrate well into a team environment.
vMotivational, persuasive and influential people management skills
