They are currently searching a Director of Finance, who will be:
Responsible to: Business Unit Director, Retail and Group Controller
You will be resposible for:
Business Unit Controller / Financial Accountant / VAT Manager / IT Manager

Prime Objective:

* Ensuring the reliable administrative support to the operation of the Retail division with regards to finance aspects, IT and general administration

* Assuming overall responsibility for monthly closing according to group financial policies

* Assuming overall responsibility for yearly statutory closing according to IFRS or locally relevant GAAP for legal entity and/or branch

* Coordinating and validating financial bids and requests for proposals

* Coordinating and validating monthly forecasts

* Regular liaising with operational controllers in Afghanistan and other regions

Key Tasks:

- Leading the Retail's finance, IT and Administration team in Dubai

- - Managing the capital employed of the Retail business unit (especially cash, receivables, inventory, fixed assets, payables)

- - Managing yearly statutory closing processes according to IFRS or according to locally relevant GAAP of the legal entity or of a branch

- Ensuring that capturing of all transactions is done timely and in accordance with the corporate financial policies

- Setting-up adequate control mechanisms and adapting the internal processes in a way to ensure maximum of efficiency and reliability

- Conducting regular monthly analysis of the P+L and all balance sheet positions including reconciliation tasks and comments to be provided to corporate finance in Switzerland

- Managing VAT associated to the operations of the Business Unit in various countries (DE, NNL, UK etc) with national and EU regulations

- Providing all relevant financial information to the Business Unit Director in a regular and reliable way

- Monitoring monthly inter company recharges by assuring they are done in a timely and consistent way and in line with current service level agreements

- Preparing business plans and investment applications to corporate finance and requests for proposal to government authorities

- Suggesting improvements to corporate finance with regards to various financial aspects: ERP system, policies and procedures, business dimensions etc.

- Regular visits of the operations in Afghanistan and elsewhere in order to stay in contact with the operational business

- Minimizing all cash involving operations in Afghanistan and elsewhere

- Personally overseeing all external audits, be it by government agencies or by the statutory auditors
