This is a new role and the success of the person in the role is absolutely crucial. Two key elements of the job description stand out: - Good or extensive knowledge of manufacturing, and all the associated accounting systems and practices therein, especially in a process driven/controlled environment. - Proven ability in driving SOPs and processes, preferably over multi-site, multi country group Other features of importance: - Compliance experience is important, but should not be the dominant part of their experience, thereby down-playing the above points - Some experience of (a) GAAP is also important, although IFRS is seen as more valuable, doesn't have to be both perhaps - manufacturing is key - Taxation experience is moderately important The person: - Highly self-motivated and self starting - Has the "presence" and essential persuasion and influencing skills to work with a diversity of senior staff in Affiliate companies across Europe and establish/embed common SOPs etc - Proven ability to succeed in a challenging environment with demanding time lines - Attention to detail, processes and their compliance Applicants of all ages are encouraged and appointment will be made on merit alone.
