Financial Controller designate
£36,000 - £42,000 fix dependant on experience
Based at our head office is in Aztec West, Bristol, with easy access to the M4, M5 and the city centre.

Today we have more than 170,000 pupils each year taught by over 2,800 instructors in 96 retail centres. BSM is looking for an individual to join our dynamic team as we lead into their centenary year in 2010. We offer a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious candidate to work alongside the Financial Director.
Key Accountabilities
- Production and management of timely, accurate and relevant monthly management accounts for all legal entities
- Consolidation of monthly, quarterly, half year and annual results (balance sheet, P&L and liquidity) in line with Company deadlines
- Reporting to the Senior Management on performance against forecast including variance analysis; to provide improvement actions and implement as required
- Production of Statutory reporting (Tax, Audit and Regulatory Framework)
- Regular reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and reporting as required
- Liaison with instructor service desk in maintaining accurate instructor balances
- Management of a dynamic team within finance
- Deputise for Financial Director where appropriate
Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA with PQE minimum 2 years
- Comprehensive knowledge of general taxation guidelines
- Good IT skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Decisiveness, Judgement and decision making, making sound business judgements
- Accomplished interpersonal and communications skills
- Ability to frame complex problems and find pragmatic solutions
- Making things happen, going further for results, achievement, drive and passion
