A fantastic opportunity to be the Number 1 in Finance for a subsidiary of a Global packaging business.
The opportunity exists for the successful candidate to assist the development of this growing manufacturing organisation. You will be coming on board as the number 1 in Finance, reporting directly into the MD and working closely with the operational business to influence their continued growth. As the Financial Controller you will be responsible for, not only the site's financial reporting, management accounts and statutory accounts but also for the cash flow management, the management information reporting and the ad hoc Group reporting. You will be working closely with the senior management team and the operational business leaders and supporting them regarding the impact of Finance on their decision making, looking at the KPIs and working with them to ensure the relevant information is getting through in a timely and efficient manner. You will manage 4 people within Finance and will be expected to bring in some fresh and innovative thinking and encourage the development of the team. In addition to your responsibilities to the team and to the operational managers, you will also be assisting in the development of the company's Financial Information systems and ensuring that maximum use is made of the data it provides.
You will need to be a part / qualified accountant ( ACA / ACCA / CIMA ) and you must have sound financial management experience gained in a fast moving manufacturing environment. This will be combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and experience of integrated IT systems. You must be able to display how you have impacted on previous organisations, both in terms of process re-engineering and change management, influencing and supporting the operational management. You will need to be a self starter, whilst receiving support from your MD you will also be expected to push and develop the remit yourself.
Our client is a £16million turnover subsidiary of a highly successful worldwide packaging group. The company has a proven track record of developing it's employees and is looking for someone who will come in and want to challenge the status quo and help push the business forwards. They are looking to grow the size of the business, supported by a significant investment programme over the next couple of years and this position will be integral to that success.
Where specific UK qualifications are required we will take into account overseas equivalents. All third party applications will be forwarded to Michael Page.
