An opportunity has arisen within our Finance Department in Shirley for a Financial Services Manager, working as part of a highly motivated team reporting to the Financial Controller.
The Job:
Overall responsibility for the running of the Credit Control (7 members) and Purchase ledger (3 members) teams.This includes the day to day running of the Credit Control team, recruitment, training and appraisals.There is a Purchase Ledger Supervisor to deal with the day to day running of Purchase Ledger. As both teams are relatively small the person will also be expected to take a hands on role within the Credit Control team
Month-end reporting and tracking of performance using KPI’s.
Liaising between the exhibition teams and a debt collection agency to pursue more difficult debts to potential legal action, if necessary.Monitoring and reporting of all past show debts post Trading Account.
Leading process and policy reviews.
Arranging and attending review meetings with the Exhibition teams at our Richmond office.
Running occasional training sessions for non-Finance staff, usually at our Richmond office.
Ad-hoc projects and duties.
The Candidate:You must:
Have broad experience in Credit Control, chasing debts of all ages.Experience of Purchase Ledger would be an advantage.
Have previous experience of staff supervision.
Demonstrate an ability to multitask, prioritise and take the initiative to resolve issues.
Be a flexible team player, committed and able to meet tight deadlines.
Have good communication skills and be able to deal with people at all levels both inside and outside the company.
Be a competent user of excel – our sales ledger is on a bespoke system so training will be given.
