Firmware Engineer (Ref TJ2204) SW Wales

Salary is negotiable between Circa £25 to £35K

Our clients are a growing and well established company who design, develop and manufactures bespoke products for use in the utility and construction industries. An opportunity has now become available for an experienced firmware engineer to take up post straight away

Main Duties

  • Responsible for undertaking planned improvements of the current design
  • Take part in shaping future innovative designs
  • Deal with full project life cycle to assembly
  • You will be directly responsible to the Lead Engineer who will set specific technical projects

Candidate requirements

  • At least a 2:1 BSc in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 3-5+ years of industrial experience with responsibility for a project
  • Firmware programming skills must include Embedded C
  • Prior experience with PIC microcontrollers
  • Knowledge of LabView and / or Agilent Vee
  • Analog and Digital circuit design including low/high power
  • Use of schematic and layout PCB design software preferably OrCAD
  • Electronic circuit simulation and mathematical modelling use of MATLAB
  • Design for manufacturability, capability of taking project to the final stages of completion
