Fleet and Logistics Manager- 40-45k- London
A leading retail company are looking for a fleet and logistics category manager to join their highly successful procurement team in London and to manage all aspects of the procurement life cycle in this category.
This fleet and logistics manager role will involve:
Supporting the business on all aspects of logistics and fleet sourcing procurement
Evaluating cost saving opportunities such as benchmarking and re-negotiation, re-engineering and volume leverage
Liaising with the businesses to define end user requirements
Developing strategies to fit requirements and analyse alternative strategies
Preparation and implementation of the procurement sourcing strategies
The following procurement skills are required:
Purchasing and mobilising contracts for the logistics and fleet procurement categories
Detailed knowledge of strategic sourcing and strong communication skills
Experience in the private sector is vital, although knowledge of public sector procurement would beneficial
Strong negotiation, analytical and client-facing skills
Degree calibre and / or CIPS qualified or equivalent
