Leading law firm in Leeds is looking to recruit into a newly created role; the team currently consists of 5 Chartered Accountants.
The team provides services across litigation, mergers & acquisitions, restructuring, competition, regulatory and fraud. The position will be based in Leeds with some travel to the Manchester office.
Responsibilities will include:
- Collating, analysing and challenging information provided in support of claims
- Researching and reviewing a company's financial and commercial information
- Preparing decision trees to assist with presentation of legal advice
- Researching and providing briefings on technical accounting issues
- Preparing and reviewing financial models and analysis
- Reporting on results of work undertaken including drafting section(s) of reports
- Undertaking smaller assignments and assisting in larger assignments reporting to a senior member of the group
- Providing support and assistance for proposals and business development initiatives
- Preparing draft engagement letters, project plans and assisting with billing
The role will suit a qualified accountant who has gained some exposure to forensic work.
