GENERAL MANAGER - SCIENTIFIC (SALES, MARKETING & CUSTOMER SERVICE)
LOCATION: York, Leeds
SALARY AND BENEFITS: £30,000 - £35,000
SUMMARY:
Well known scientific organisation who are enjoying a period of growth are looking to recruit a hands on commercial General Manager to oversee the sales, marketing and customer service function.
YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent, ideally in a science related subject
- Scientific, medical or similar industry background
- Proven hands on man management experience
- Commercial background in sales, marketing or customer service
- Experience in business planning, setting and motivating staff to achieve KPI's
- Dealt with financial and budgetary elements of the business
- Excellent PC skills and knowledge
- Must be enthusiastic and passionate, a real team player.
IDEALLY YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
- Have some knowledge of working laboratories
- Knowledge of Sage and Sales Force CRM system
ROLE INFORMATION:
- Manage the day to day running of the company to maximise profitability and efficiency.
- Managing the sales, marketing and customer service teams
- Provide support and training to staff
- Reporting in the MD, working alongside MD to formulate business plans, set KPI's and budgets.
