This organisation has a solid track record in Financial Services in Australia with strong branch networks and a solid depth of connections across a range of suppliers. Under new ownership, this organisation is seeking a performance focussed individual to support the growth and development of the business and drive significant change.

Working as a member of the senior leadership team, this role is responsible for providing Finance and Operational support to management and the Board of Directors, as well as satisfying all compliance and legislative requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team that provides high level Accounting and Operational Leadership by applying a proactive hands on approach and the provision of information and reports that will drive the performance of the business. Specifically the role is responsible for:

  • Preparation of financial reporting, balance sheets, board papers, budgets and company secretarial duties
  • Delivery and maintenance of sales and business performance management systems
  • Human resources, operations, compliance, risk management, administration and information technology.
  • Deal with Statutory bodies including ASIC and OFT where necessary and external Accounting and Audit Firms

This role suits a qualified Accountant, who has been working at financial controller level and is seeking to broaden their skills in a General Management role. To be successful you will have the flexibility and experience to work successfully within a small business environment and be driven to build organisational capability through the development of strong performance benchmarks, and ideally have gained this experience in a sales based industry. You will have proven leadership and team development skills, along with strong communication and decision making abilities.
