To drive a significant new business area with responsibility for over £100m of revenue and significant profit and strategic targets. Take full ownership and accountability for this growth
To lead a team across multiple locations to deliver tactical distribution of both in house and 3rd party stock via web, text and call centre channels.
To hit profit targets for the Tactical Distribution team always being mindful of optimising overall TUI Group profit
To ensure that Tactical Distribution has the systems, processes, policies, marketing plans and team in place in order to deliver the 5 year plan for this area.

- Ensure that our sales process ensures that we deliver excellent service to customers. Back this up with independent measurement and put improvements in place wherever necessary
- Deliver websites which are intuitive for customers to use with appropriate content and prices. Drive improvements here so that search to book ratios hit targets of over 1%
- Ensure that text, websites and call centres feature products and offers that have a high level of customer appeal and drive sufficient web traffic to our sites and calls to our call centres
A Financially Successful Company
- Agree and achieve profit targets for Tactical Distribution channels of text, online web and offline web. Ensure that actions taken in this area consistently appreciate not only local performance but also optimise profit for the wider TUI business
- Manage performance against forecasts and plans to ensure delivery of targets
- Deliver a marketing plan, systems, policies and processes to grow our late distribution web channels. Define and deliver the detailed implementation of the significant growth targets in the 5 year plan
- Deliver profit targets on ancillary revenue streams such as insurance, group seating and car hire
- Agree and manage annual budgets for Tactical Distribution
- Define the business plan and brand positioning for an online Dynamic Packaging solution that delivers against 5 year plan targets.

- Define, measure and deliver against all "hygiene factors" of running a successful call centre such as call waiting times. Put a culture of continuous improvement in place
- Structure web functionality, content and marketing to deliver 60% of business via holidayhypermarkets.com and latedeals.com online within 3 years
- Define and manage the web marketing budget for latedeals.com and holidayhypermarkets.com to efficiently drive traffic to hit profit targets. Ensure that these sites are optimally structured to deliver 60% of traffic organically within 3 years
- Manage all commercial contracts and relationships with 3rd party suppliers such as teletext, technical partners and 3rd party inventory suppliers so that costs are minimised and profit maximised
- Provide appropriate levels of support for the Virtual Call Centre

- Input all assumptions into detailed resource plans to ensure that the team is appropriately staffed to deliver forecast business whilst optimising its cost position. Ensure that recruitment is carried out in a timely manner.
- Develop a long term resource plan which takes into account the changing needs of Tactical Distribution that will be caused by the five year plan.
- Build, lead and motivate a team over multiple locations
- Leverage the support of senior management and peers to drive forward change
- Staff development ? Measure individual performance and ensure that objectives are set and training planned in order that team members may develop and progress in their roles

- Put incentive plans in place that reinforce desired behaviours and targets
What we're looking for- At least 5 years in either a tour operator or travel distribution environment
- Proven decision making ability ? excellent commercial judgement
- Able to manage complexity and ambiguity
- Excellent communicator
- Tour Operator trading experience desirable
- High level understanding of web interfaces and usability
- Understanding of call centre operations
- Management of large teams
- Good awareness of needs and issues in the marketplace
