French speaking Sales Director - eCommerce

Our client, with backing and investment from some of Europe’s most successful entrepreneurs, is a leading, international price comparison website for the fast moving consumer electronics and consumer goods retail/e-tail sector.

Working alongside the European Sales & Marketing Director, they wish to hire a French speaking Sales Director, with a brief to focus on growth in France. Your role, which will be supported by a UK based European implementation client team, will be to start and develop all business activity in France and will include the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Pro-actively explore sales opportunities, research and identify electrical goods retail targets, as well as leading electronics and consumer goods manufacturers, in the France
  • Liaison across sales, account management and technical teams to ensure alignment of efforts
  • Monitor progress towards identified sales opportunities and targets
  • Meet agreed new sales targets- cold calling retailers in order to generate a substantive sales opportunity
  • Promptly respond to sales leads by email, telephone and by arranging face-to-face client meetings or visits, where appropriate
  • Maintain and develop professional client (retailer) relationships
  • Audit retailer’s level of competency in order to identify and fulfil training needs
  • Update the training spreadsheet and liaise with the product quality team to ensure that training takes place in timely and responsive time-frame
  • Adopt effective and efficient personal working practices in order to maximise time spent on high value sales activity
  • Pro-actively identify and contribute ideas for new products, services or improvements to sales processes
  • Analyse best performing retailers and identify ‘best-in-class’ practices to generate leads, encourage key retailers to adopt them and to develop your sales pitch for new business

To be considered for this role, you must have the following skills and background:

  • Fluent French as well as English
  • Have excellent relationship management skills
  • Experience in sales, ideally from a comparison agency, affiliate network, ecommerce platform provider, search engine, electronics retail, Fast Moving Consumer Electronics or FMCG with veritably success
  • Experience in working with international customers
  • Great communication skills in all management areas
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
  • Be able to manage your own agenda and decisions and take direction where necessary
  • Have excellent levels of self-motivation and drive

On offer is a Salary of c£40,000 (neg) with 10% - 15% commission (OTE of over £100,000) on monthly fees on retailers of average EUR2,000 per month for 6 to 9 months. Other benefits include Laptop & iphone, Share options (after 6 months), 20 days holiday in addition to statutory bank holiday’s and Training/development relevant to position.
