Our client is a global 2.8 billion euro chemicals company that is focused on serving customers in water-intensive industries. The company offers water quality and quantity management that improves customers' energy, water, and raw material efficiency.
Applications & Product Management supports Municipal & Industrial Segment and is responsible for the commercialisation of new products based on customer needs.In addition, the team is responsible for managing applications and technologies, managing the product range of coagulants, flocculants, and other chemical products. Our client is now looking for Global Product Manager for Polymers.
Based at either the Bradford or Botlek site, reporting to VP Applications & Product Management, the Global Product Manager Polymers will be responsible for the global product range: flocculants, organic coagulants, antiscalants and dispersants. As Senior Manager, you will interface with manufacturing on products, processes and costs and steer product ranges to manage product cost structures.You will produce pricing guidelines and profitability analyses, resolve customer complaints and ensure competitive benchmarking. In this role you will be responsible for documentation including generic product data sheets, sales specifications, product data management, product/applications keys, regulatory approvals and compliance. You would also play a role in sourcing across units and out sourcing from competitors as well as sourcing of 3rd party produced products.
Applicants should have a university degree or equivalent in Polymer Chemistry or related subject with a solid technical and commercial background within the water industry, preferably with previous experience of organic chemistry/polymers. Candidates must have a strong customer focus with the ability to manage a product range on a global scale.With a willingness to travel, the successful candidate will have good interpersonal skills, be action oriented and have proven skills within a product management role.
