Job Title: Graduate Analysts? Advanced Analytics & Risk Modelling
Location: Cardiff
Start: January 2010
Salary: £20,000 - £24,000 + Bonus, Training & Benefits

Role Overview

The role is responsible for the development, enhancement and governance of Impairment and Capital Forecasting models, Econometric Modelling and Stress Testing methodologies under the Basel II regulations for the Retail bank division.

- To develop industry leading Retail Credit Risk modelling and forecasting solutions.
- To be an active member of a Modelling and Analytics team ensuring that Decision Sciences builds industry leading credit risk modelling and forecasting methodologies.
- To communicate and work with business stakeholders and to deliver against agreed plans.
- To work with team colleagues in supporting Decision Sciences Senior Managers in the development of wider initiatives across the team.
- To be aware of and work to best practices within all aspect of Decision Science Modelling, Forecasting and Analytics.

Candidate Profile
- A dedicated, well motivated and result-driven self-starter who can effectively work with others across different areas to deliver high quality solutions in a timely manner. Proactive and a self-developer.
- A good degree (2:1 minimum) in a quantitative discipline (maths, statistics, operational research, economics), preferably at a postgraduate level and A Level Maths at grade B or higher.
- Experience of data analysis and application of statistical techniques (e.g. linear regression, hypothesis testing, etc.) development of credit risk and econometric models (e.g. Markov Chains, time-series forecasting) would be advantageous.
- Experience of SAS
