This vacancy is advertised by Newcastle University Careers Service as part of Graduate Apprentices*. It offers Newcastle University graduates (who have graduated in the last three years) the opportunity to undertake an initial twelve week paid contract within a North East based SME.

A permanent role will be available for the succesful candidate.

Nimis Limited is a European provider of tender monitoring software and business support activities. From its offices in Ouseburn, Nimis delivers subscription based revenue generation services for Partners including Chambers of Commerce, Banks,Regional Development Agencies, Local Councils, private clients and Sector Support Networks. Products delivered and supported by its software division include TenderTap® providing daily tender alerts to thousands of companies and a knowledge base of over 3million contract and tender documents. Established 16 years ago, Nimis has now embarked upon a fast and exciting growth initiative and is on target to triple turnover this year.

ROLE INFORMATION:

Nimis are looking to strengthen their software team with someone capable of playing a key part in the development of new and existing accounts and the technical ability to provide technical support and training.

This successful candidate will have the ability to create new business opportunities from our current clients, whilst possessing the vision to identify potential areas of growth.

Nimis will appoint an individual who is capable of managing their part of the sales process.

 ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Generate new client accounts.
  • Develop existing clients.
  • Technical support & training of clients.
  • Pitch, negotiation and closure of contracts.
  • Face-to-face client liaison.
  • Attending trade shows as the Nimis representative.
  • Dealing with client queries.
  • Report writing, production of proposals and associated documentation.

YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Good educational history (A relevant IT degree preferred)
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Proactive.
  • Motivated.
  • Flexible.
  • Determination.

Technical Skills for this role include: HTML, JavaScript, CSS and SQL. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience of MySQL, ColdFusion and VBA (training will be provided where appropriate). Knowledge of maintaining Microsoft servers and associated networks would also be beneficial
