Primary areas of focus are:
Trainee headcount planning
Sourcing and attraction strategies
Selection and Assessment
Leadership influence - this role will interact with Recruitment
Partners, Managing Associates, Group Trainee Solicitor Partners
(GTSP), Divisional HR Business Partners
Direct reports - 2 in the GR team, and a team of 2 (to be flexed in
busy periods) in an outsourced Resourcing Ops Team
Hire on average 110 trainees and 55 UK vacation students
Responsible for a budget of £1.5 million
Develop relationships with universities and partner organisations to ensure the sourcing and attraction of a diverse candidate pool of the highest quality
Work closely with Divisional Heads of HR to determine trainee numbers
Be aware of "shape and size" issues within client groups and manage trainee numbers accordingly
Support University Action Teams (UATs) in developing a recruitment strategy which is specific to their University
Work with marketing agency to produce a suite of marketing products
Identify innovative recruitment channels to help the Firm achieve competitive advantage
Work with the internal Marketing team to align graduate marketing with that of the Firm
Required experience
* Extensive experience in recruitment (preferably graduate recruitment) gained within a blue chip organisation or large partnerships
* Experience of attraction strategies and marketing techniques in recruitment
* Prior experience of effectively managing or supervising a team
* Evidence of contributing to strategic change
* Experience in headcount planning
* and budget management
* University Degree
