Graduate Trainee - Manufacturing Operations

Do you have a manufacturing, engineering or business degree (or equivalent)? Or are you an undergraduate on course to obtain one next year? If so, this could be the role for you!
As the UK's number one operator in the fruit juice market, our client is known for their quality products and low costs. They are now looking to recruit a number of Graduate Trainees to join their training scheme, commencing January 2010 or summer 2010.
Our client is looking for people with the potential to become their managers of the future. So if you have good leadership skills, are inspired by hard work and looking for an opportunity to make a difference, then this training scheme may be right for you.
As a Graduate Trainee you will embark on a training programme that will continue for approximately 2 years, at the end of which they would expect you to be appointed to a management level position. And if you follow in the steps of previous candidates, you could be contributing at a senior management level within a further 3 years.
During your initial 2 year period you will undertake real jobs with specific responsibilities and meaningful objectives that must be achieved. You are likely to be given shift-based assignments from the start, which can provide you with experience of managing teams, running production lines and being responsible for quality, output and costs.
You will also have the opportunity to gain experience in other operational areas such as production planning, engineering, warehousing, logistics, technical and personnel.
To be considered for this position you must have a degree (or equivalent) in a manufacturing, engineering or business discipline. Junior management experience would be beneficial to your application.
As a Graduate Trainee you should also be good at finding practical solutions to problems, convincing and persuasive, and keen to learn and self-develop. You should also be able to co-ordinate teams and projects, and have great communication skills.
