Group Finance Manager - Aintree – Liverpool

Role Purpose : To Establish and Maintain the Groups Financial Management Procedures. To ensure compliance and accurate financial status within the group on a daily basis. To Manage the organisations financial administration , ensuring controls are in place to maintain the security and accuracy of all financial information monitoring compliance and internal controls and good practice, in conjunction with the Directors of the Group.

Reporting to : Managing Director,
Direct Report : 2 x Finance Administrators

Key Relationships :General Managers, Showroom Managers, I T Managers, Account Managers

Companies external accountants

Key Accountabilities :

  • Manage and control all Financial arrangements ensuring demonstrable Compliance with all internal controls.
  • Implement and Maintain all internal finance controls and monitor the day to day cash flow and financial framework for suppliers , Credit account customers and contracted third party arrangements .
  • Coordinate all resource and any capital budgeting and procurement.
  • Support , Plan and Monitor all revenue and sales generated daily .
  • Provide timely and accurate financial and management reporting .
  • Draft daily, weekly and period accounts and reports
  • Control all day to day Financial transactions which include Invoices ,
  • Purchase requisitions , general ledger , cash flow management and Banking arrangements ,
  • Maintain Payroll and financial systems and infrastructure to ensure all transactions are managed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Support internal and external ( Accountants )audits as required
  • Coordinate and budget all HM Revenue& CustomsReturns in an accurate and timely cut off date .
  • Monitor and control all movements and transfers of all company assets ( inc IT )
  • Maintain accurate inventories and asset registers .

Knowledge , skills and experience:

The Post holder will have the following experience and knowledge .

ESSENTIAL :

  • Must have necessary Qualifications for general Book keeping Role .
  • Must have astrong character and be able to manage a team and have good communicational skills
  • Manage and develop financial system controls and budget processes
  • Manage and demonstrate financial management reporting
  • Provide advice and support to other internal departmental heads
  • Be able to produce statutory accounts

DESIRABLE:

  • Experience of financial administration and management within a Plumbing or Building / Construction Background
  • Be able to demonstrate good training skills for budget holders and departmental heads
  • Hold full UK driving License
