Working on behalf of a leading power generation company, my client has a global portfolio of over 45 power stations with over 32,000 MW of power generation capacity. They have an impressive background in plant operations and engineering and understand all of the operational and technical issues relating to developing, acquiring and maintaining power plants.
Due to their current expansion plans they are now looking for a Group Internal Auditor to join the team. Reporting into the Group Internal Audit Manager this person will work as part of a team to deliver internal audit reviews for their power stations and areas such as health & safety, IT, finance and operational management. This person will be responsible for producing findings and recommendations along with drafting Executive Summary reports for the audit committee. It will involve supporting the department objectives, internal audit plans and KPI’s which are agreed by the committee.
Candidates will need to have proven auditing experience within power plant operations and engineering. They will be able to communicate effectively at senior management/board level and will ideally have knowledge of health and safety and environmental management. This role will mainly involve travel to their operational sites within the UK and Overseas.
