Our client is a leading city based law firm who is looking for a pro-active, commercially astute Group Management Accountant to join their busy finance function.
Reporting directly to Head of Finance, working within a team of thirteen and supervising one other trainee Accountant, your key responsibilities for this role will include the preparation of the group management accounts pack with commentary and subsequent presentation to the board and the senior partners, providing profitability, overhead cost and variance analysis on a monthly basis with recommendations for improvement; creation of the group annual budget and associated reporting. You will also be responsible for preparing the accounts for the various non-trading entities within the group as well as the overseeing and continued review of the monthly payroll.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who possesses strong management accounting and supervisory experience, preferably at group level, who has exposure to working in the professional services sector or any partnership environment. You will have excellent attention to detail coupled with strong interpersonal and organisational skills. Knowledge of Oracle or Access is also highly beneficial but not essential.
