HR Administrator / Officer, York , North Yorkshire; c£18 - £23K (DOE) + Benefits; HR Generalist

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their HR Administration skills in a fast paced environment.This varied and challenging role will involve you managing the HR database (SAGE), producing HR related reports and assisting in the timely delivery of a professional HR service.

Thesuccessful applicant will be a self-starter with 2+ years HR generalist experience.You will possess excellent organisational ability, good communication skills and an excellent telephone manner.You will have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel and in addition; you should be able to prioritise your own workload and have a flexible and positive attitude to work.

To be successful in this role you will have previous experience in an administrative role within a human resources environment.

This is a truly generalist role in a fast paced and busy environment.

Key Responsibilities…

  • To maintain personnel records
  • To process new recruits and induction
  • Maintain and manage all HR administration
  • Where appropriate liaise with the payroll department in processing starters, leavers, change of circumstances and salary reviews
  • To process terminations and conduct exit procedures
  • Administer the recruitment process, including liaison with preferred suppliers and internal clients
  • Administer the performance management process
  • Produce the monthly HR report for senior management
  • Maintain and update the HR section of the staff intranet

Skills/Experience required….

  • Experience of administering HR polices and procedures
  • To be experienced in assisting with all personnel issues including recruitment
  • Excellent administration, organisation and planning skills
  • Experience of communicating with individuals at all levels both internal and external to the organisation
  • CPP qualified or be working towards CIPD
  • To have at least 2 years relevant experience of working in a personnel role
