My client is currently looking to recruit a HR Advisor into their busy and proactive HR team. You will be working under the guidance of a HR Business Partner and you must have had previous HR generalist exposure, providing advice and proactive support to line managers and Directors. This is a very generalist position, delivery of training, liaison with trade unions, recruitment, HR policies, procedures, managing contracts, new starters and lower level disciplinary and grievances. There is a high level of sickness and long term absence issues that will also need managing. An understanding of TUPE will be every beneficial. Previous experience as a HR assistant / advisor will have been gained from within a commercial / private sector environment and you must have a good commercial awareness and experience of negotiation and influencing in a varied role. CIPD qualified or at least working towards. Teamfit is key. This is a good working environment with fair and honest people. Communication, problem -solving and decision making skills are all paramount. This is an office based role but there maybe occasional requirements to go on home visits. The company encourage development and plenty of progressional opportunities. This is a fixed term contract until the end of June 2010 and the company cannot promise the guarantee of a permanent position, however, the company is going from strength to strength even in such difficult times and the position will be reviewed at the end of June.
