Role requirements
Recruitment, New Employees & Leavers
·Provide the company with all aspects of a first-rate resourcing service, including checking application forms.
·Implement innovative and cost-effective candidate attraction campaigns.
·Work with Acela and its clients to arrange induction into the business for all new employees.
·Work with Acela and its clients regarding the completion of performance review meetings and supporting any resulting action plans
·Ensure that all employees complete an exit interview
Training & Development
·Analyse training needs in conjunction with line managers
·Support for development and implementation of programmes in organisational development, retention, performance management and employee relations, in conjunction with clients’ needs
·Work with clients’ line management on continuing development of an effective performance-based and positive culture
Payroll & Financials
·Responsible for supporting the Payroll Administrator and overseeing the Earnie Payroll system year-end routines (internal and external)
·Collation and communication of information relating to payroll for starters, leavers, transfers, payments and deductions from employees.
·Seek to negotiate the best rates available for all services related or provided by HR including travel and accommodation
·Responsible for reporting of sickness and absence management figures and suggesting corrective action plans
General HR Administration
·Responsibility for proper deployment of NAV Dynamics HRIS and all related digital asset management
·Work with Acela and its clients to arrange completion of offer letters, contracts, references and all other employment related correspondence
·Arrange medical screening as required
·Monitor absence levels and escalate issues where it may lead to implementation of long term sickness procedures
·Manage the complete administrative starters and leavers process,including colleagues correspondence, SharePoint, Navision and communication with IT
·Issue and track all necessary employment documentation including starter form, medical questionnaire, eligibility to work in the UK, driving license etc.
·Manage letters and calculations for Maternity & Paternity cases
·Ensure current licence holders’ certificates are maintained.
·Participation with administration and support with other HR projects as required.
·Responsible to ensure that all HR employee correspondence is scanned in to SharePoint
·Support and cover reception and payroll duties during absences and busy periods
Education, Skills and/or experience requirements
Essential
·At least two years of HR experience in a similar role.
·Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
·Excellent IT skills including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
·Recruitment Experience

·A good understanding of current UK employment laws
