A vacancy has arisen at Enfield for a HR Officer on a temporary basis for 6 months. The site operates on a 24 hours/7day week basis employing approximately 350 staff. The Role Reporting directly to the HR Manager Working alongside the existing HR Officer to assist in the day to day running of the department, providing generalist HR support To ensure all HR policies and procedures are adhered to. Providing detailed support, guidance and advice on HR matters inc. company policies and procedures, best practice, absence management, performance management and employment law Playing an active role in the control of sickness and absence to ensure contractual KPIs are achieved Involved in all aspects of recruitments and selection Supporting Management in grievance and disciplinary procedures Playing an active role in training and development General HR Administration duties Produce accurate weekly and monthly reports The Person Must be able to demonstrate relevant HR experience Possess professional qualification of the CIPD or be working towards it You must possess excellent influencing skills and the personal qualities of enthusiasm energy and resilience required to be effective in this environment Excellent communication skills are essential as is the ability to interact with staff of Wincanton and the customer at all levels You must also have excellent organisational skills and initiative with the ability to manage the day-to-day HR processes. Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines for both Wincanton and the customer You must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and influencing skills Have experience of working within a unionised environment Ability to convey facts and ideas clearly, accurately and effectively, both verbally and in writing. Good working knowledge and practical application of employment law and best practice approaches. Have experience of managing/driving change within the workplace.
