A great opportunity exists for a highly skilled HV Power Supply Engineer to join MASS based from the companies St Neots, Cambridgeshire office on a contract basis.

MASS is a highly successful independent systems house who enjoys a strong reputation for delivering technical excellence and flexible support directly to the UK MoD. Other customers include defence prime contractors, overseas customers and a growing number of non-defence clients requiring the company's expertise in supporting secure operations.

Please Note: Current SC (Secret Level) Security Clearance is desirable but not essential.

The contract duration is 3-6 months (possible extensions to a year might be possible).

The hourly/daily rate on offer is £Negotiable (dependent upon experience).


HV Power Supply Engineer Job Description:

To specify and approve the design of High Voltage (60-80KV) power supply for a Travelling Wave Tube (TWT).

Skills required:

Hardware:

• HV (to 60-80KV) and MV (2-6KV) Power supply design and test.
• Previous Radar or similar HV systems development experience is desirable.

Markets:

• Previous defence development experience is required.

Other skills:

• Technical specification writing and review.
• Technical liaison with subcontractors.
• Project management, and subcontract management (desirable).

Options:

MASS consider that there may be an option for the candidate to work part time (a few days a week) to suit the requirements of the project.
