We are recruiting for an experienced Head Chef to join an established team in a property that specialises in Chinese and Asian cuisine. For this reason we are looking for someone who is able to speak Mandarin or Cantonese, to be able to communicate with the brigade.
As the Head Chef your role will involve delivering an excellent service to all customers as you will provide food that is well presented working from your own menu. You will be working with a fully trained motivated team who pride themselves on exceeding the customers' expectations.
Your duties as the Head Chef will include supporting and managing the team, managing and rotating the stock and monitoring standards with the suppliers and that deliveries are correct, working to targets managing the GP, preparing food, managing waste and costs, communicating promotions and focus areas, driving the business forward, managing budgets, dealing with complaints and queries, health and safety obligations, completing regular internal and external audits and other duties to be confirmed at interview, ensuring that staff adhere at all time to health and safety regulations.
To apply for this role you MUST be able to speak Cantonese or Mandarin and have worked in a very busy kitchen. You will have proven management experience. You must have the ability to work well within the team as well as being calm and assured under pressure.
