We are actively seeking a Head chef for this high quality branded restaurant. This role is a very challenging position, and it demands very strong organisational and culinary skills to help maintain and increase standards.
Ideally you will be working in a similar position at present or have been a sous chef for a minimum of 2 years and now looking for your first senior role. This busy establishment needs a leader with proven man management skills who can demonstrate calm hands on approach to your work. You will have a desire to succeed and show ambition to develop your career further in a renowned group. Good team leadership skills are a must with bags of self motivation; you will also be an individual who thrives under pressure.
You will be responsible for the over seeing of the kitchen that serves upwards of 200 covers per day. Supervision and training of all kitchen staff is an important part of this role together with working within the company menu guidelines, purchasing, implementing system controls, as well as ensuring that health and safety and food hygiene are maintained to the highest standard. You must also have a very good business financial understanding, to achieve both margins and given food cost percentages.
