Head of Financial Control needed for a Dubai based Islamic bank reporting to the CFO.
Managing a team, your responsibilities will include:
  • Consolidation of group results under IFRS for monthly and annual financial statements
  • Management, Coordination, and production of forecast and budgets
  • Prepare, review and supervise bank submission for regulatory reporting
  • Management of monthly reporting cycle for all accounting transactions, including fixed assets, WIP, system integration and UAT,
  • Keep technically up to date to ensure accountancy standards are adhered too
  • Managing and supervising staff and reviewing staff performance
  • Develop relationships with strategic business partners
The ideal candidate will ideally have:
  • 10 years post qualification experience with at least 5 years obtained in the financial services industry
  • Process knowledge of banking products, investment accounting, project management and risk management
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate clearly with business and finance colleagues
  • Knowledge of accounting pronouncements including IFRS, and auditing standards
  • Knowledge of system integration and migration of data
  • A self starter, action orientated, energetic and motivated team player
