Head of Fostering
My client is looking for an experienced professional to manage and develop their service, which delivers fostering and short-break solutions for disabled children across our eastern region.
As well as identifying new services which meet the needs of both local authorities and individual purchasers, you will provide high-quality leadership to the team and ensure they continue to provide the best possible services to customers.
It's a wide ranging and influential role that will see you contributing to a number of key activities, including the recruitment of staff, the negotiation of contracts and the achievement of National Minimum Standards for Independent Fostering Agencies.
The ideal candidate will have a Social Work qualification such as DipSW or CQSW, you will bring senior-level experience of family placement or children's services.
You will also hold (or be willing to gain) a level 4 NVQ in Management or equivalent.
An excellent understanding of fostering goes without saying; just as important will be first-class leadership and communication skills, plus the enthusiasm and vision to take our fostering service forward.
Salary: GBP 39,923 - GBP 44,554 per annum
Hours: 35 per week
