The company is undergoing aggressive expansion plans and has been doubling year-on-year, therefore looking to hire a talented Learning & Development expert who can implement structured and innovative learning interventions across the group.
As Head of the L & D and Organisational Effectiveness this person will drive the learning strategy from scratch for the company, whilst formally putting in plans in place to develop performance management processes, communications plan and enhancing employee engagement.
To provide leadership and expertise to the following areas within th the company's People agenda, focussing specifically on the performance and development agenda at an enterprise and individual level :
* Develop and implement a Group-wide strategy, process and framework for learning and development across the business, creating a culture of opportunities for all within a learning organisation.
* To build a forward-looking workforce capability, through a series of globally applicable group training programmes.
* Support the retention of talent and the management of underperformance through enhancing a robust and evolving performance management system.
* Establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring training, development and performance planning.
* On behalf of the Group HR Director commercially manage and control the substantial Group training budget within agreed controls to achieve key business and departmental objectives.
* Develop an engaged, motivated and knowledgeable workforce that builds upon the success of through a proactive communications and Group-driven initiatives to build insight from our employees opinions.
* Ensure the organisation is a reflection of the customer base it serves and the communities it operates within globally, to ensure it is respected as an employer of choice and to address at a macro level, areas of concern in parts of our employer proposition.
Background and experience
* Looking for an individual who has worked in both large, corporate organisations and smaller, entrepreneurial environments with experience within telecoms, technology or retail.
* International L&D roll-out experience
* Varied HR background but with deep expertise in learning and development, especially in building a framework for a growth organisation.
* Best practice delivery and leadership of forward-looking training initiatives.
* Innovative Learning solutions for a rapidly growing entrepreneurial organisation.
* Experience of managing learning content, processes and learning management systems
* Experience of driving performance management principles, systems and methodologies.
* Experience of driving an employee engagement strategy through communications vehicles, surveys and other tools.
* OD and change programmes experience.
* Client engagement and stakeholder management
* Excellent presentation skills, facilitation and training delivery experience
* Relationship management of vendors
* Commercial skills and ability to manage and forecast budgets
* Leadership, emotional maturity, resilience and ability to work in a complex matrixed organisation with a range of stakeholders.
* Demonstrable success of building organisational capability.
* An understanding of the commercial nature of the diversity challenge.
