Our client is currently looking for a Head of Project Management to join their team. You will have overall responsibility for all project and programme management work completed by your team and provide strategic direction to all stakeholders.
You will be responsible for effectively and proactively line manage the project management team, making strategic recommendations to the Board, being the point of contact for clients in situations where a high level perspective is required on the strategic direction for a client or in situations of issues being escalated by team members, overseeing the personal project management of all team members including performance appraisals and carry out succession planning, ensuring high level communication and effective working relationships between the project management team and other departments, ensuring that all project management work is completed to the highest standard and overseeing working processes, checking efficiency and adherence.
The successful applicant will: be educated to degree/HND level or equivalent in a related discipline or substantial experience in a similar role, hold Prince 2 or equivalent, demonstrate a high level of strategic project management knowledge, have proven experience of successfully managing/developing a project team, demonstrate a high level of strategic project management knowledge, have proven extensive experience in delivering successful projects, demonstrate experience of project responsibility from conception to completion, have experience of liaising at strategic level with clients and key stakeholders, have proven experience of leading, motivating and delegating.
