This is a fixed term position for one year based in London. Reporting directly to the Recruitment and Mobility Team Leader, The Mobility Leader has operational responsibility for ensuring that the Global Mobility team proficiently administers the international assignment policy and that the transfer of international assignees is efficient, effective, meets the needs of the business, and drives performance. The current assignee population handled by the UK Global Mobility team is approximately 1100.
Requirements- Previous experience of dealing with the range of complexities of international assignments, and associated expatriate management issues.
- In depth technical understanding of the tax and immigration compliance issues and associated risk exposures for the Firm
- Identify and develop improved processes to facilitate full and effective compliance.
- Must have prior people management and/or team leading experience to effectively manage a team of both experienced Global Mobility Consultants (Manager grade) and Global Mobility Specialists (Officer grade) ? current team size of 15.
- Excellent team player with the ability to build rapport and gain credibility at all levels .
- Coach, develop and evaluate GM team members and provide them with appropriate development opportunities.
- Recruitment of effective Global Mobility team members.
- Oversight of the management of the relocation vendors in terms of their KPI's, and SLA's through quarterly and annual review meetings.
- Oversight of the tax preparation programme (from authorisation list stage through to tax return completion)
- Manages self and organises time and priorities to meet objectives
- Provides extensive support to both the Global Mobility team and the business using relevant specialist knowledge
- Ensures specialist knowledge is kept up to date
- Maintains very solid and effective working relationships with key contacts within the Global Mobility network.
Responsibilities- Builds strong relationships with business and Human Capital (HC) Business Partners to ensure the global mobility policy and philosophy are applied consistently and fairly
- Educates and trains business and HC colleagues to build capability in understanding risks of non compliance and the importance of managing employee expectations and consistent application of global mobility policy.
