You will be responsible for managing and participating in a wide variety of UK and international human factors consultancy projects for clients particularly in the Oil and Gas sector and in other major hazard industries, mostly Nuclear.
It is preferred that you are Degree educated, ideally an Engineering degree (Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical (C&I)) or Psychology with appropriate HF in design; plus additional post-graduate degree, training, or experience in human factors relevant to the sector. Member of the Ergonomics Society, BPS or suitable engineering chartership (or eligible for membership). Clean UK drivers licence.
Eligibility for UK SC or DV clearance is beneficial.
Experience in several of the following technical areas is essential:
System, equipment and interface design
Early human factors analysis & human factors integration
Human error and reliability assessment
Design of training and procedure systems
Incorporating human factors into safety cases and periodic safety reviews
Organisational issues including safety culture assessment and enhancement
Root cause analysis, incident investigation, operational experience systems
