Role: Insurance Claims / Notification Team
Hours: 35 hours p/week
Salary: £13-17k depending on experience (Candidates with experience will command higher salaries)
Location: Manchester city centre
Start date: Interviews - immediate, offers immediate. Next start date / induction will be the start of November 2009.
We are currently running a recruitment campaign on behalf of the UK's fastest and leading Insurance company.
The Notification Team is responsible for registering all new claims, including accidental damage, fire and theft. The team will determine the circumstances of the claim from the customer, e.g. what happened in the accident, where the damage to the vehicle is, etc, and will then instruct a supplier to move the claim forward to settlement, i.e. to repair the vehicle.
Role Purpose
The Notification Advisor plays a pivotal role within the Claims department, acting as the first point of contact for each customer when they notify us that they wish to make a claim against their policy. The Advisor has responsibility for establishing the facts surrounding the claim in order to ascertain the correct team that should deal with the claim for the customer.
Delivery of the highest standards of customer care and satisfaction are paramount, combined with the requirement to make decisions about the customer’s responsibility, in order to instruct the correct team to deal and the validity of a claim. Strong interpersonal skills and tact will be essential when circumstances of potential fraud are being investigated.
