Service Delivery Team Leader, Leeds BSF
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 + 5% Bonus + Car+ Excellent Benefits

An exciting opportunity for an experienced service delivery team leader to help deliver a large,complex managed service contract within the hugely rewarding education sector. The Leeds BSF Project is based around a 5 year contract, which will deliver a full Managed Service to a number of Secondary Schools in the Leeds area.

We combine innovative hardware, software and exceptional services to help improve educational attainment in the classroom. Services are delivered by site and field based Customer Support Engineers / Technical Specialists, with helpdesk and product support provided remotely via the Group HQ in Oxfordshire.

The Team Leader is an operational people management role requiring effective team and resource management, staff performance management, problem management and customer management skills.

The role:

  • Operational day-to-day line management of up to fifteen school site based technical support staff with responsibility for support contracts in Leeds.
    Ownership for recruitment and resourcing issues within your area of responsibility
    Coordinate the effective delivery of technical support services to ensure all customer requests for support and information are satisfied in accordance with contractual requirements.
    Technical support staff objective setting, 1:1's, appraisals, salary review and career planning.
    Management of customer escalations ensuring RM resources are engaged and timely and effective communication is maintained to all interested parties.
    Provide comprehensive operational reporting and attends customer and internal meetings to present same.
    Ensures effective communication and training within the technical support team.
    Problem resolution on an ad=hoc basis as directed by Line Management.
    Maintenance of high levels of customer satisfaction

The Person

  • Previous line management for a team of 10-12 technical staff, across multiple sites in Leeds.
    The ability to manage effectively attendance and performance issues.
    A strong technical background ( good understanding of Windows Server 2003/XP, Exchange, AD, Internet technologies, networks etc )
    Excellent customer facing skills and the ability to influence at all levels
    Strong evidence of the following: Customer focus, improvement focus, leadership and vision, sound decision making, planning and organising skills
