IT & Software Project Manager

The Opportunity:

Unique opportunity for an ambitious and determined individual to join a start-up company which has extensive international growth plans within the world of leading edge internet technology and commerce.

Through the extended launch of ground breaking software, there is scope for the successful applicant to progress to a CTO, and be at the forefront of fast moving technology.

The role

A unique & varied role you will have the desire and ability to understand new technologies, be able to analyse and solve technical problems systematically and have strong interpersonal skills ideally with a web technology background. Playing an integral part in the launch of a revolutionary new software application you will have a hands-on role in managing and controlling the implementation of the application by providing direct operational client support ensuring the smooth running of live events, as well as managing the development of existing and future software to further develop and enhance the application. The ability to communicate with clients and internal teams to ensure effective service and be at the forefront of client support is essential, as is the ability to manage a busy and varied workload.

Day to day tasks will include the provision of back office support from event design, layout & floor planning through to web page layout, mail shots together with administrative tasks required to set up and host virtual trade-show events as well as assisting in the software and website development of the next phase. Training, process change and other activities required to support the adoption of the software by internal colleagues and external clients will also be required.

Essential Experience/Skills:

  • Strong knowledge and interest in the core technologies and processes used within the fields of gaming and virtualization;
  • Strong understanding of web standards, and how to apply them to real-world solutions;
  • Experience with HTML, ASP, SQL, CMS, FTP;
  • Experience / knowledge of the processes involved in 3D modeling and rendering; Experience with Irrlicht Engine a definite advantage.
  • Achieved top grades in education, with further education in Maths and Computer Sciences;
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills,
  • Be competent in using Excel and Word, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat
  • Be highly organized, with a methodical & logical approach
