Due to expansion there is now a vacancy for an IT Sales Account Manager to join a leading IT services company at their offices in Medway, Kent. Salary package for the IT Sales Account Manager is in the region of £22k basic, OTE c£30k (uncapped).

Job Function for the IT Sales Account Manager

The role of IT Sales Account Manager initially has a 100% focus on new business acquisition, however as the position develops there will be increased responsibility to retain and develop accounts won.

Overview of the Position:

It is anticipated that the IT Sales Account Manager will spend 80% of their time in the office in Medway, performing outbound selling of IT services to national prospects, across the public and private sector.You will arrange and attend appointments to conduct technical presentations on IT services.

The applicant must have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding new business targets and be able to conduct the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.

There are excellent prospects for career progression.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Meet new business acquisition unit/revenue targets

Meet minimum activity levels in terms of outbound call volume, quotes, appointments etc.

Maintain a sales forecast providing a clear indication of leads identified and potential business

Ensure that individual, and thus team, targets are achieved and exceeded

Manage quotes, bids and tender responses efficiently and effectively

Retain and develop accounts won

Build long term sustainable pipeline

Candidate Requirements:

Minimum 1-2 years IT services B2B sales experience

Demonstrate previous successful sales performance both against peers and targets

Experience and confidence in making a volume of outbound cold sales calls

Ability to qualify and identify opportunities from initial calls

Graduate 2.1+ in a business subject

Formal sales training e.g. Pareto, Meta-Morphose etc.

Demonstrate good understanding of full sales cycle from prospecting to closing

Experience of face-to-face meetings or be ready to take that next step

Must have driving licence and own transport
