IT Security Analyst - Network Support

Up to £32,000 Plus Life Assurance, Pension
As a world renowned appliance manufacturer, our client is known for their innovative and original designs. Today, they're the number one vacuum cleaner manufacturer in the UK, US, Tokyo, Western Europe and Australasia. And they're making big strides in other countries too. A fantastic opportunity has now arisen for an IT Security Analyst to join their team.
This role would suit an experienced network security engineer looking to develop their career with a global name.
As an IT Security Analyst you will be responsible for providing extensive technical expertise, support and administration to the company's Group IT security including network security, firewalls, VPNs, anti-virus, patch management and any other IT security related systems for all company offices globally.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support and administration of IT security infrastructure and other associated security systems/solutions
- Delivering and providing resources for core IT security upgrade projects
- Participating in process and documentation of IT security improvement projects
- Setting up, configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining firewalls, VPNs, anti-virus, wireless network security etc
- Providing security advice and expertise to internal IT functions
To be considered for this position you must have:
- Experience using MS Windows operating systems and applications: operating system security, WINS/DNS/DHCP, domain security model, IT systems security support
- Knowledge of networking technologies and related security: TCP/IP, routers (Cisco), firewalls
As an IT Security Analyst you should also be a confident communicator with a proven track record of delivering projects on time. Excellent problem solving skills, the ability to talk with non-technical audiences, and flexibility to travel when required, are also essential.
The ideal candidate will also be MCSE and/or CCNA qualified.
