IT Support Consultant - SBS to £30K + Car - Ipswich
IT Support Consultant with knowledge of Windows and Exchange Server products is required by a solutions provider based near Ipswich, Suffolk. Candidates can expect a salary of up to £30,000 + Car and benefits.
The role will be mainly field based providing IT Consultancy
Key skills
*Microsoft server products: Windows Server / Small Business Server / Exchange Server - all versions
*Microsoft desktop operating systems: Windows 2000 / XP / Vista
*TCP/IP: LAN and WAN
*DNS management
*Hardware firewall products
*Backup products: Backup Exec and Arcserve
*Active Directory administration
*PC and server hardware
Duties
*To provide technical support and consultancy either over the phone or directly onsite with the client.
*To maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles.
*To consult on infrastructure problems and provide suitable networking solutions.
*To take ownership of user problems and be proactive when dealing with user issues.
*To log all calls on the call logging system and maintain full documentation. Maintain a log of any software or hardware problems detected.
Salary - to £30,000 + Car and Pension
