Independent Living Advisor
This national organisation supports and advises service users in receipt of direct payments.
Basically you will be out and about in the community offering financial advice to those in receipt of living assistance :
As an advisor / or trainee you will work alongside Social Workers to ensure Service Users receive the best individual service appropriate to their needs by providing information that is accessible, current and reliable.
Key Responsibilities:
• To provide advice and support to Direct Payment Service Users and Social Worker professionals,
• To advise and support current and potential Service Users in the establishment of their selected care provision.
• To assist Service Users with financial record keeping and all other appropriate audit and contractual requirements.
Key Skills:
• Demonstrable experience of working on own initiative.
• Able to communicate effectively.
• Good organisational, interpersonal and administrative skills.
• Able to plan and prioritise own workload.
• Able to meet performance and quality targets.
Essential
• Must be able to drive with own transport
This role is a great opportunity for someone who already works or wants to work, in the Care sector , and wants to work in a team but is looking for a very varied, different type of job.
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. No shifts.
£17,000 plus good benefits
