Our client is looking for an IRO to work in the Workington area. You will be responsible for providing the statutory reviewing services to children who are looked after, and to monitor the performance of the authorities functions in respect of the reviewing process in accordance with statutory guidance and regulation.
To be responsible for the chairing of adoption planning meetings and disruption meetings relating to adoption breakdowns and other more complex planning meetings concerning children looked after where the independence of the Chair is of benefit to the Local Authority
To be responsible for providing and analysing performance data in order to ensure that the authority is contributing to improving outcomes for children looked after. To provide assistance in developing and delivering training to promote good practice in relation to the Looked after Children System.
Experience within the field is desirable, but candidates must be registered with the GSCC and hold the relevant social work qualification.
