Information Services Analyst (Maternity Cover)

Ambridge Harris is currently recruiting for a Information Services Analyst on behalf of a major Swindon based Financial Services powerhouse. Reporting into Information Services Manager the main tasks of the role include: -

Key tasks

-Daily and Monthly Reporting

-Operate a set of daily and monthly reporting processes to provide analysis of investment information

-Ensure all aggregated information reaches high data quality standards before being released, through analysis of movements and data checks

-Ensure periodic (monthly, quarterly, etc) information requests are validated and delivered within the agreed timeframes

Industry and Company Knowledge

-Develop a knowledge of a central business database and how to accurately review and extract reference data from the systems

-Develop an understanding of instruments (equities, bunds, derivatives) and products (OEICs, Life/Pension Funds, Hedge Funds) and the integration of this data into the reporting process

-Be aware of data licenses (usage restrictions and costs) and ensure guidance is followed in report production

Stakeholder Management

-Develop strong working relationships with client teams (many of which are London-based) so as to support plans for change activity and complex queries

-Provide excellent Client Service to our internal customers throughout various business divisions

-Close liaison with internal departments to ensure all new information requests are fully analysed and solutions developed that meet the client requirements

Change

-Participate in change activity, for example involvement in testing and planning for new product or business change that require enhancements to reporting

-Contribute towards the improvement of reporting through root cause analysis of queries and issues, gaining a strong knowledge of both centralised information and contributing ideas on how existing services can be enhanced

The successful candidate MUST have recent Financial Services industry experience, are likely to be Graduate calibre (although candidates with appropriate experience will be considered) and have previous experience of business reporting tools (such as BRIO, Crystal Reports, Business Objects or Eagle PACE). IAQ or AMC qualifications would also be advantageous.
