An exciting opportunity has become available for an INSIDE SALES & MARKETING EXECUTIVE to join a well respected Freight & Logistics organisation promoting their UK Transport services. Reporting to and working closely with the National Business Development Manager, the responsibilities of the role will be to gain new business contacts, arrange sales appointments and assist in the promotion of UK Transport services.
Working from a Northampton based office and covering a national territory this role will involve sourcing your own business leads as well as making effective use of the current database, gaining verified information on current transport contracts and sales tender opportunities. Canvassing businesses with high volumes of telesales, mail shots and using various other marketing materials. Liaising with large corporate and Blue Chip companies, arranging and confirming sales appointments, preparing sales tenders and quotation proposals, building strong business relationships with both internal and external customers and working closely with all branches across the UK.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate that they have a natural flair for sales and a resilient approach to telesales and canvassing, able to easily build rapports, have the ability to work off their own initiative whilst supporting and working closely with the National Business Development Manager and have a good understanding of UK Transport and distribution. Proficient in the using Microsoft packages such as Power point, Excel, Word etc.
