Installation & Commissioning Engineer
Leicester base with European travel
£25-35K depending on experience
Our client is a world leader in the design and manufacture of Automated Handling Systems. As a result of an internal promotion, they are looking to recruit an additional engineer for their implementation / installation team.
- Installation and commissioning of high technology systems.
- Supporting the Project Manager in all aspects of system delivery including pre-installation works, testing and implementation of all software, mechanical, electrical and computing equipment aspects of the project.
- Responsibility for the receipt of equipment on site, supervising sub-contractors and commissioning equipment.
- Assist in the design and perform test schedules to fully test system components. Writing concise and coherent technical reports is an essential job requirement.
- On site training to the customer in the use of the system.
- Providing service or maintenance support after the project is completed.
The main office is in Leicester although the successful candidate should expect to travel widely within UK, Europe and occasionally the USA. Candidates should have experience of installation and fault-finding of equipment systems in complex industrial or manufacturing environments. They should have proven technical competence particularly in the use of information technology. Experience of word processing, spreadsheets, Access / SQL Databases and AutoCAD is very relevant. The ability to speak a foreign language would be advantageous.
