Instructional Designers - ELearning / South East £35-45K
My client needs Instructional designers / E learning designers with learning approach/instructional model for bespoke e-learning and blended solutions. They also oversee the scriptwriting of solutions and work with my clients Art Directors to agree a look and feel. They work across a wide range of subject areas within both the private and public sectors.
My client is a world leader within Media E learning, offering a fantastic working environment with the highest calibre team in the country . They have been well recognised for their work aross the UK and have recieved numerous awards. Currently they have several roles for Instructional designers .
Main Purpose of Job:
To design and script website and/or learning content ensuring it meets the design specification and standards. To take ownership of a key content area or process.
Main Duties:
·Gather project source materials
·Identify and locate additional requirements for source material
·Liase with Lead Designer, clients and SMEs to agree detailed content structure, objectives, interactive treatment, appropriate use of media
·In consultation with a Lead Developer, define functionality of interactive design elements so that they can be readily and accurately interpreted by Developers, Graphic Designers and Testers
·Ensure script content meets project objectives, of quality and scope, and is right first time
·Ensure work is delivered to customer satisfaction, within budget and on schedule
·Work with Lead Designer to identify templates required to script fit-for-purpose learning material
·Liaise with Lead Designer to identify and manage risks associated with design process
·When required, be a central point of contact for client and project team to ensure consistency across all scripts
·Liaise with Lead Graphic Artist to ensure graphics specifications are fit for purpose and can be developed within the constraints of the project
·Liaise with Graphic Designers to ensure graphics meet the script specification
·Take responsibility to coach new Design staff
In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the jobholder is required to perform other duties assigned by the manager from time to time

·Knowledge and understanding of the technical advances in e-learning and website development
·Ability to use web authoring tools, for example Dreamweaver, HTML
·Ability to monitor quality

Experience of developing e-learning or website programmes
·Experience of working in a project environment
·Has written reports and/or specification documents
·Experience of dealing with clients and/or SMEs
Desirable
·Hands on experience of the production process (e.g. graphics programming, HTML)
·Experience of coaching team members
