My client is a local, family run insurance broker, looking into expansion they are considering applications from experienced Insurance Advisors. You will be responsible for the growth and ongoing servicing of a client account, comprising a complete range of personal and commercial lines business.
Particular emphasis will be placed on retaining business by a detailed approach to renewals, re-broking cases where necessary. Of equal importance will be ensuring all clients experience a first class service, handling any mid-term enquiries and adjustments with accuracy, speed and reliability.
The role will also involve responsibility for growth of the account through cross-selling and up-selling to existing clients, and handling any incoming new business enquiries. The vast majority of enquiries are handled by telephone, but there will be occasions where clients will visit the office. Additionally, you will be required to handle all administrative functions relating to your client account and maintain thorough, accurate and compliant records at all times.
A minimum of two years' experience in an insurance broking environment is essential, preferably handling both personal lines and small commercial business.
Candidates must have a good standard of education, particularly with regard to numeracy and literacy as calculating premiums accurately and communicating individually with clients will account for a large proportion of the role. Candidates must also demonstrate reliability, utmost confidentiality and a genuine desire to grow the account with a view to furthering career development.
